E06 — The Stream of Liquid Gold
Runtime: 3:30 Logline: Names are how the world holds you. Cast: Dzino. Otto — bear historian, theatrical, in floor-length robes with brass buttons, fishing rod over shoulder. Location: A copper-colored valley with a slow river of liquid gold winding through it. Shard: Bonds (Relationships).
Scene 7.1 — The river [00:00 – 00:30]
DZINO crouches at the edge of a slow gold river. He cups a handful. The gold sings in someone's voice — a voice he doesn't know. A phrase he can't quite make out. He startles, drops the gold back. The voice dissolves.
Sound. A half-heard phrase in a voice we will return to in E12. Lo-fi, layered. It is the user's first message. (Record this in advance with placeholder VO; replace per locale at distribution.) AI prompts.
- Tight close: voxel paws cupping liquid-gold from a slow river.
- Audio overlay: half-heard human phrase, hard to parse, then dissolved.
Scene 7.2 — Otto [00:30 – 01:30]
OTTO emerges from a willow tree on the far bank, fishing rod over shoulder, robes catching the wind. He sees DZINO and breaks into a delighted grin — the kind reserved for someone you've waited for.
OTTO (theatrical, then softer) "My dear. My dear. Never drink from a current you don't know."
He crosses the river on stones DZINO hadn't noticed were there. Sits on a copper rock. Casts the line into the gold.
OTTO "Time is loose here. Stories swim in both directions. As I knew you when you raised me — so I know you now, walking back to take what was always yours."
The line tugs. He hauls in a fish — but the fish is a glowing scroll. He unrolls it. Reads aloud.
OTTO "...and Dzino said: Ahoj. And his Person said: Ahoj."
DZINO blinks. That hasn't happened. OTTO winks.
Sound. Otto's leitmotif: strings, dramatic, slightly tongue-in-cheek. AI prompts.
- Hero entrance: bear in robes from willow tree, brass buttons, fishing rod.
- Insert: scroll-fish on a line, unrolling into legible Slovak text.
Scene 7.3 — Three names [01:30 – 03:00]
OTTO releases the scroll-fish. It swims away upstream.
He extends his hand and gestures DZINO closer. He places three small gold beads on the rock between them.
OTTO "Three names. You'll meet them later. Maybe in a year. Maybe in ten. But remember."
He picks up the first bead. It hums in a voice we don't quite hear.
OTTO "First: someone who will one day tell you a truth you don't want to hear."
Second bead.
OTTO "Second: someone you'll meet on a bad day and they'll turn it into a good one."
Third bead.
OTTO "Third: someone you'll lose. But later. Not soon."
He passes the three beads to DZINO. They condense in his palm into a tiny knot of gold thread — the Bonds shard. It clicks into his chest. Voice 6 arrives.
Sound. Each bead has its own one-second voice — placeholder voices that we'll re-record for the user later in production. The chord adds Voice 6 — warm, midrange. AI prompts.
- Insert series: three gold beads on a copper rock, each humming.
- Hero: beads condensing into a knot of gold thread; thread becomes shard; clicks into chest.
Scene 7.4 — Onward [03:00 – 03:30]
OTTO bows like a Shakespearean.
OTTO "Remember names, my dear. Names are how the world holds you."
He returns to fishing. DZINO walks downstream. The river sings — softly now, in many voices.
Sound. Six-voice chord, river of names underneath. Otto's strings fade. AI prompts.
- Long shot: bear back at fishing pose, river of voices flowing past.
- Pull-back: Dzino walking beside the gold river, growing small.
