E03 — The Mirror Garden
Runtime: 4:00 Logline: You paint best when you don't yet know what you are. Cast: Dzino. Luna — dreamy fox artist, paint-stained smock, brush behind ear. Location: Glass garden under twin moons. Hundreds of standing mirrors. Shard: Form (Soul).
Scene 4.1 — Twin moons [00:00 – 00:30]
Twin moons rise over a quiet hill. DZINO climbs it. The breeze sounds like glass — a faint, near-musical tinkling.
He reaches the crest. Below him: hundreds of standing mirrors, scattered across a flat plain like teeth. Each mirror catches different light.
Sound. Glass-wind chime. Two distinct moon-tones layered. AI prompt. Wide hero: voxel character on hilltop, twin moons (one warm, one cool), mirror plain below, glass-wind audible.
Scene 4.2 — A hundred Dzinos [00:30 – 01:30]
DZINO descends. As he approaches the first mirror, his reflection shifts — he is a CAT-DZINO, indigo-furred, crowned. The next mirror: BEAR-DZINO. Then ELDER-DZINO with a long white beard. RAINDROP-DZINO. DRAGON-DZINO. AN OLD WOMAN. A SMALL FIRE.
He moves between the mirrors, uncertain. None of them feel wrong. None of them feel quite right either.
Sound. Each mirror has its own one-second leitmotif — micro-melodies that don't connect. AI prompts.
- Tracking dolly through mirror garden: each mirror reveals a different voxel form of the protagonist.
- Match-cut series: cat-Dzino / bear-Dzino / elder-Dzino / dragon-Dzino / raindrop-Dzino / old woman / small fire.
Scene 4.3 — Luna [01:30 – 02:30]
In the center of the garden, LUNA sits on a low stool before an easel. The canvas is completely blank. Her smock is paint-stained but her brush is clean. She doesn't look up when DZINO approaches. He waits.
A long beat. The wind chimes.
LUNA (eyes still on canvas) "You paint best when you don't yet know what you are."
She extends a brush over her shoulder without turning. DZINO takes it.
Sound. Luna's leitmotif: a single sustained note that bends slowly upward, then back down. AI prompts.
- Establishing: fox artist on stool before blank canvas, twin moons behind, paint-stained smock.
- Close: paint-stained paw extending clean brush over shoulder.
Scene 4.4 — The painting [02:30 – 03:30]
DZINO returns to the mirror garden, brush in hand. He walks slowly past each mirror. Each one trades a sliver of light with him — the cat-version donates a curve, the bear-version a roundness, the elder-version a steadiness. He carries the small lights back to LUNA's canvas.
He paints. Slowly. Badly at first. The brush trembles. He drops it once. Picks it up. Paints again — better.
What appears on the canvas, pixel by pixel, is a small voxel figure: indigo body, cream face, orange crown. Himself. With one small twist — the eyes are slightly his own, slightly Luna's.
The mirrors around the garden flicker, then settle. Each one now reflects this single shape — Dzino, as he chooses to be seen.
The shard Form rises from the canvas. Clicks into his chest. Voice 3 arrives. The chord becomes a triad.
Sound. Brush strokes layered with chiptune. Each completed pixel in the painting adds a pluck. The shard's click resolves the triad. AI prompts.
- Brush-painting time-lapse: blank canvas slowly filling with voxel self-portrait.
- Sweep across the mirror garden: each mirror updating to show the same shape.
- Hero: shard rising from canvas, clicking into chest, triad resolves.
Scene 4.5 — Luna's reveal [03:30 – 04:00]
DZINO bows. Walks away. He doesn't turn back.
The camera lingers on LUNA's stool. Her own canvas — which we never showed up close — slowly reveals what she's been painting all along: a portrait of herself, completed by Dzino's passing through. She sees it for the first time. Smiles, very small.
The twin moons set behind her.
Sound. Luna's leitmotif resolves on a perfect upward bend. The triad sustains under it. AI prompts.
- Dolly-around the easel: blank canvas slowly fills with self-portrait of the fox.
- Close on Luna's face — quiet smile.
- Wide pull-out: twin moons setting behind her.
