E02 — The Binary Forest

Runtime: 3:30 Logline: What you lean toward is who you are becoming. Cast: Dzino. Kiko — chaotic cat scientist, lab coat made of pixels, goggles on forehead. Location: Forest of trees made of stacked 1s and 0s, faintly luminous, rustling in binary. Shard: Interests (Mind).

Scene 3.1 — Cold open [00:00 – 00:15]

DZINO at the forest's edge. The trees rustle in binary — the leaves are 1s and 0s drifting on a quiet breeze. A trail of question-mark pixel-flowers leads inward. As DZINO passes the first one, it tilts toward him.

Sound. Wind plus the whisper of digits. A barely-there glitch tone. AI prompt. Tracking shot: voxel character entering forest of binary-glyph trees, question-mark flowers tilting as he passes.

Scene 3.2 — Falling apple [00:15 – 00:45]

DZINO follows the path. Above him, a pixel-apple is suspended mid-fall — frozen. A red blinking timer next to it reads 00:00:01.

KIKO (off-screen, from a branch overhead) "DON'T STAND UNDER THAT APPLE."

DZINO leaps aside. The apple unfreezes — and stays put. It doesn't fall. KIKO is upside-down on the branch, goggles on, scribbling on a tiny pixel-notebook.

KIKO "Don't stand under that apple. It's an unethical experiment."

He hops down. Doesn't fall. Lands precisely.

Sound. Kiko's leitmotif — a fast staccato pattern, like a clock at 1.5x speed. AI prompts.

KIKO "A question. No answer. Just lean."

DZINO stares. After a beat — he leans, slightly, toward the tree. The shape brightens.

KIKO writes something in his notebook.

They walk on. Another tree rearranges into a book. DZINO leans. They walk on. A guitar. DZINO doesn't lean — he tilts away, slightly. KIKO writes that too. A thunderstorm. DZINO leans halfway and pulls back. Telescope. He leans hard. Knife. He leans away. Cake. He leans again.

Seven trees. Seven leans. The notebook fills.

KIKO "These aren't answers. These are seeds."

He tears the page out. It folds itself in mid-air into a tiny voxel shape — the Interests shard. It clicks into DZINO's chest. The chord gains a second voice. It is dissonant with the first for half a second — then resolves into thirds.

Sound. Each lean produces a soft chime. Seven chimes total. The shard's arrival adds Voice 2 to the chord. AI prompts.

DZINO walks on. The forest behind him resumes its binary whisper. The faint star is one pixel brighter still. As DZINO clears the trees, his chord — now two voices — sustains under the wind.
