E11 — The Storm Field — Storyboard

Runtime target: 4:00 (240s) | Frame count: 42 frames | Aspect: 9:16 primary, 16:9 director's cut Mentor: Zara — bold human entrepreneur, cropped jacket, brass lantern, no hood, no umbrella Shard: Journal (Sense) — a record of what kept him going when going was hard Logline: Write it down. Even the parts you'd rather forget.

Episode at a glance

E11 is the emotional crown of Season 1. Up until now, every biome has been a gift — petal-fields, dream-cake, twin moons, three-moon dunes, comet-stages, libraries. E11 is the first place in Pixoci that does not want to give Dzino anything. The weather is the antagonist, and the antagonist is allowed to win for one terrible beat. For the first time in the season, Dzino considers not going on. The shard he picked up in E10 (the small dull stone of Trials) is heavy in his chest. The faint star — the calling, the structural promise of the whole show — disappears behind cloud. The chord of his soul, which has been growing voice by voice across ten episodes, goes quiet on screen. We must hear that absence. The episode lives or dies on whether the audience feels that beat as a small grief and not as a pause.

Zara is the answer. Not because she rescues him — she explicitly does not — but because she models that walking-through is a posture you can choose even when the lantern is the only light you have. Her line is short. Her exit is quick. She is the only mentor in the season who doubles back. Read her as: a founder who has been here before, who has nothing to prove, who is on her way to find the next person and is briefly delayed by this one.

The episode contains the season's single most production-demanding image: the lightning frame. For one frame at ~02:50 we lift the camera god-high over Pixoci and see every biome from E00 to E11 connected by the cream-pixel trail Dzino has been leaving since the dawn clearing. This is the first and only time in Season 1 that Dzino — and the audience — see the shape of the journey. It must read clearly in a single frame. It must be hand-painted. It is the frame the season is structured around. Treat it as a one-sheet poster in disguise.

Pacing rule. Hold every frame longer than feels comfortable. Where E07 was kinetic and E09 was rhythm, E11 is weight. The first sit-down beat (Dzino in wet grass, chord goes silent) should be allowed to last ~6 seconds — almost too long. The lightning frame is one frame but the thunder lands a beat later. Audio and image are deliberately out of sync. Trust the audience.

Scene 12.1 — Sky turns [00:00 – 00:35]

Frame 01 — Cold-open establish [00:00 – 00:05]

  • Composition. Wide low-angle tracking. Dzino voxel-walks left-to-right across an empty plain. Horizon line low — the sky takes 80% of frame. Cream sky, single faint star high-right.
  • Action. Dzino walks at his usual unhurried pace. A single cream pixel falls from his footstep into the grass and stays.
  • Lighting & palette. Warm cream #FFE4C9 sky, indigo body #4F46E5, orange crown. Soft directional dawn-equivalent light from upper right — the calling-star side.
  • Sound cue. Wind low. One Dzino chirp. Faint chord of ten voices humming underneath, clean.
  • AI-gen prompt. Voxel-fantasy wide tracking shot, indigo voxel character with orange crown walking across empty cream-grass plain, low horizon, cream sky, single faint star upper right, Studio Ghibli × Animal Crossing palette, soft dawn light.
  • Notes. Re-establish the show's resting key before we break it. This frame should look like any other cold open — that is the whole trick.

Frame 02 — Sky turns, beat 1 of 3 [00:05 – 00:08]

  • Composition. Same plate as Frame 01, locked. Camera does not move.
  • Action. Hold on Dzino mid-step. The cream sky bruises one shade cooler — the first slate edge enters from the upper-left corner.
  • Lighting & palette. Cream #FFE4C9 → cream-with-slate-wash #E4D8C9. Star still visible.
  • Sound cue. Wind picks up by a hair. Chord still present.
  • AI-gen prompt. Same plate, sky cream shifting to cool-cream from upper left, still calm, voxel character mid-walk.
  • Notes. First beat of the three-frame time-lapse. Subtle on purpose.

Frame 03 — Sky turns, beat 2 of 3 [00:08 – 00:11]

  • Composition. Locked.
  • Action. Slate clouds roll in fast — 3× normal cloud speed. The star dims to a thread.
  • Lighting & palette. Mid slate #7A8094 overtaking cream from the upper third.
  • Sound cue. Wind two notches louder. First low rumble of distant thunder, far.
  • AI-gen prompt. Same plate, slate clouds rolling fast across upper third of sky, time-lapse weather, voxel character still walking.
  • Notes. Cloud movement should be visibly faster than naturalistic — we are compressing an hour into 3 seconds.

Frame 04 — Sky turns, beat 3 of 3 [00:11 – 00:14]

  • Composition. Locked.
  • Action. Sky fully slate. Star is gone. Grass-cream desaturates by ~30%. Dzino is still walking but his silhouette now reads as small.
  • Lighting & palette. Storm-slate #4A5060 ceiling. Indigo #4F46E5 body now reads cooler against the slate. Orange crown is the only warm pixel in frame.
  • Sound cue. Wind dominant. Chord dimmed by half.
  • AI-gen prompt. Voxel character on plain under fully slate sky, no sun, no star, vast empty grass, palette desaturated, lonely composition.
  • Notes. This is where the audience first feels something is off. The whole frame got smaller without the camera moving.

Frame 05 — Stop and look up [00:14 – 00:20]

  • Composition. Push-in to medium. Dzino centered, low in frame. Sky fills two-thirds.
  • Action. Dzino stops walking. Tilts his head straight up. His cream face catches the last hint of warmth from a sky that no longer has any.
  • Lighting & palette. Slate dominant. A single fading peach pulse where the star was — almost imperceptible.
  • Sound cue. Wind. Chord drops one voice — first audible thinning.
  • AI-gen prompt. Tight medium of voxel character looking straight up into slate sky, expression unreadable, vast empty grass behind.
  • Notes. Hold long. Let the audience search the sky with him.

Frame 06 — Insert: star is gone [00:20 – 00:24]

  • Composition. Insert. Sky fills frame entirely. The position where the star should be is just cloud.
  • Action. None. The cloud drifts slowly across an empty patch of sky.
  • Lighting & palette. Pure storm-slate. No warm tones at all.
  • Sound cue. Wind. Chord drops one more voice.
  • AI-gen prompt. Pure slate stormcloud sky filling frame, no stars, slow drift, oppressive emptiness, voxel-painted clouds.
  • Notes. This insert needs to register as a loss, not a weather report. Hold 4 seconds.

Frame 07 — Hand on chest [00:24 – 00:30]

  • Composition. Tight on torso. Dzino's voxel-paw lifts and rests against his chest where the shards live.
  • Action. A faint dull glow from his chest — not bright, weighted. The stone shard from E10 is visibly heavier than the others; his stance dips a half-pixel as if it is pulling him down.
  • Lighting & palette. Indigo-on-indigo. The stone-shard reads as the only matte object in a body of soft glows.
  • Sound cue. Wind. A low, dull thud — the stone shard's signature, a heart-weight.
  • AI-gen prompt. Macro voxel detail, indigo character's hand pressed to chest, faint dull glow inside, one heavier matte stone-pixel visible among lighter shards, weight in posture.
  • Notes. The matte stone should not glow. It is the only shard that reads as physical weight. Continuity from E10.

Scene 12.2 — Sit-down [00:35 – 01:25]

Frame 08 — First raindrops [00:30 – 00:35]

  • Composition. Wide. Dzino small, frame-center.
  • Action. Three pixel-raindrops fall in sequence — voxel droplets, plump, audible. Each lands with a discrete thock on the grass.
  • Lighting & palette. Slate dominant. Raindrops carry a pale indigo highlight.
  • Sound cue. Three discrete thocks. No music.
  • AI-gen prompt. Wide shot, voxel character on plain, three large pixel raindrops falling and impacting grass with visible voxel splash, slate sky, sparse rain just starting.
  • Notes. The rain enters audibly before it enters visually-fully. Sound-design priority.

Frame 09 — Rain becomes heavy [00:35 – 00:42]

  • Composition. Same wide. Camera locked.
  • Action. In 3 seconds, raindrops multiply from sparse to a sheet. Pixel-rain falls in vertical voxel columns. Dzino's silhouette begins to blur behind the curtain.
  • Lighting & palette. Indigo storm wash over everything. Cream pixel-trail behind Dzino dims under the rain.
  • Sound cue. Pixel-rain becomes dominant — a heavy, granular wash. Chord drops to three voices.
  • AI-gen prompt. Heavy voxel pixel-rain in vertical columns falling on plain, indigo storm wash, voxel character barely visible through curtain, audible rain texture.
  • Notes. The rain is the first non-mentor character with agency in the season. Treat it as a presence.

Frame 10 — Cannot see the path [00:42 – 00:50]

  • Composition. POV-adjacent. Over Dzino's shoulder, looking forward into the rain.
  • Action. The plain ahead is a wall of indigo rain. There is no horizon. There is no path. There is no faint star.
  • Lighting & palette. Indigo-on-indigo. Visibility: ~3 meters in voxel-space.
  • Sound cue. Rain dominant. Chord at two voices.
  • AI-gen prompt. Voxel-POV looking into wall of pixel rain, no horizon, no path, only indigo rain texture filling frame, claustrophobic.
  • Notes. First time in the season the camera does not show Dzino a destination.

Frame 11 — Stops walking [00:50 – 00:56]

  • Composition. Side-on medium. Dzino in profile.
  • Action. Mid-step, his front foot lowers but does not move forward. He stands frozen in the rain. A long beat.
  • Lighting & palette. Wet indigo. Crown still the only warm pixel.
  • Sound cue. Rain. Chord at one voice — the original Personality voice from E01, alone.
  • AI-gen prompt. Profile medium of voxel character standing perfectly still in heavy pixel rain, foot half-raised mid-step, frozen indecision.
  • Notes. Hold 5+ seconds. Stillness is the performance.

Frame 12 — Sit-down [00:56 – 01:05]

  • Composition. Pull back slowly to wide. Camera doesn't track — it simply widens, making him smaller.
  • Action. Dzino lowers himself into the wet grass. Crosses his legs. Does not curl. Just sits — open-postured, defeated-not-defeated, empty.
  • Lighting & palette. Indigo wash. Dzino reads as a single voxel-clump in a sea of rain.
  • Sound cue. Rain. Chord at one voice. Then — the chord drops the last voice. Silence under the rain.
  • AI-gen prompt. Wide hero, tiny voxel character sitting cross-legged in heavy pixel rain on empty plain, no shelter, no umbrella, defeated but not curled, vast indigo emptiness.
  • Notes. The visual reference is Spirited Away's Chihiro on the train, or Wolfwalkers' Robyn after the chase. Posture of stillness, not collapse.

Frame 13 — The chord goes silent [01:05 – 01:11]

  • Composition. Same wide. Camera locked.
  • Action. Hold. Dzino does not move. Rain falls.
  • Lighting & palette. Identical to Frame 12.
  • Sound cue. THE TERRIBLE BEAT. Rain only. The chord is gone. For 6 seconds we cannot hear his soul. The only sound in the world is weather.
  • AI-gen prompt. Same plate as previous, hold perfectly still, no chord, only rain.
  • Notes. This is the most important sound design moment of Season 1 to date. The audience must register the absence. If they do not feel uncomfortable here, the episode has failed. Hold the beat.

Frame 14 — Considers not going on [01:11 – 01:20]

  • Composition. Slow push-in to a tight on Dzino's face. His cream face is rain-slick. Eyes half-closed.
  • Action. A single droplet runs down from his crown across his cheek. He does not blink it away. He looks not at the horizon but at the grass directly in front of him.
  • Lighting & palette. Wet indigo. The crown's orange is darker, rain-dimmed.
  • Sound cue. Rain only.
  • AI-gen prompt. Tight on voxel character's face in heavy rain, water running down cream face, eyes downcast, expression of someone who has stopped looking forward.
  • Notes. This is the first time in the season Dzino has looked down for more than a beat. Read the gesture as: he is no longer scanning for the star.

Frame 15 — Hold on stillness [01:20 – 01:25]

  • Composition. Pull back to mid. Dzino still seated. Rain still falling. The plain still empty.
  • Action. Nothing.
  • Lighting & palette. Indigo.
  • Sound cue. Rain only. Still no chord.
  • AI-gen prompt. Medium of voxel character sitting motionless in pixel rain, completely still, empty plain.
  • Notes. Hold. The temptation will be to cut sooner. Resist.

Scene 12.3 — Zara walks past [01:25 – 02:25]

Frame 16 — Lantern through rain [01:25 – 01:32]

  • Composition. Long lens. Background-deep. Dzino blurry in foreground-edge. Mid-distance: a single warm point of light approaches through the rain curtain.
  • Action. A brass lantern bobs into frame from screen-right rear, advancing at walking-late pace.
  • Lighting & palette. First warm color since Frame 04 — brass #C89B4C lantern glow. The warm pixel is small but commands the frame.
  • Sound cue. Rain. Then, faint and growing: Zara's brass leitmotif — solo low-brass, three notes, steady.
  • AI-gen prompt. Long-lens shot through pixel rain, single brass lantern light approaching from background, warm point in indigo wash, blurry voxel character in foreground edge.
  • Notes. The lantern enters before the figure. Light-as-character.

Frame 17 — Zara's silhouette resolves [01:32 – 01:38]

  • Composition. Same setup. Camera holds. Zara's silhouette resolves out of the rain.
  • Action. A human figure — bold, upright, no hood, no umbrella, cropped jacket — strides forward. The lantern swings in her right hand.
  • Lighting & palette. Brass on her face from the lantern below; rest of body in storm-slate.
  • Sound cue. Brass leitmotif louder. Footsteps audible on wet grass.
  • AI-gen prompt. Voxel-style human entrepreneur silhouette resolving from rain, cropped jacket, no hood, brass lantern in right hand, walking confident pace, lantern lighting face from below.
  • Notes. Zara is the first human Dzino has met. Visually distinct from all the animal-Souli mentors. Read her as a guest from outside the realm.

Frame 18 — Past Dzino without slowing [01:38 – 01:45]

  • Composition. Profile two-shot. Dzino seated low-frame-left. Zara strides through frame-right at full pace.
  • Action. Zara walks past Dzino. Does not look at him. Does not slow. Her lantern swings at her hip.
  • Lighting & palette. Brass glow sweeps across Dzino's seated form for one beat as the lantern passes.
  • Sound cue. Footsteps pass left-to-right. Brass leitmotif at full volume on the pass, then receding.
  • AI-gen prompt. Profile two-shot, seated voxel character lower-left, human entrepreneur walking past at full pace right, brass lantern light briefly washing over seated figure, no acknowledgment.
  • Notes. The non-acknowledgment is the point. She is not a rescuer.

Frame 19 — Three steps later [01:45 – 01:51]

  • Composition. Wider. Both figures in frame. Zara screen-right, three steps past Dzino.
  • Action. Zara stops mid-step. Does not turn yet. Lantern still swinging. A long beat.
  • Lighting & palette. Two warm spots: Zara's lantern, Dzino's crown. The frame is composed around the two warmths separated by indigo rain.
  • Sound cue. Footsteps stop. Rain. Brass leitmotif sustains a low note — held.
  • AI-gen prompt. Wide two-shot in pixel rain, human figure stopped three steps past seated voxel character, both still, lantern bobbing slowly, indigo rain between them.
  • Notes. This pause is the doorway of the episode.

Frame 20 — Turns. Lantern lights face [01:51 – 01:58]

  • Composition. Medium on Zara. She turns her head only — body still pointed forward. Lifts the lantern slightly.
  • Action. The lantern catches her face. She is calm. Not unbothered — clear. She looks directly at Dzino.
  • Lighting & palette. Brass underlight on her features. Eyes warm. Rain on her jacket beading without bothering her.
  • Sound cue. Rain. Brass leitmotif resolves on a single steady note.
  • AI-gen prompt. Medium shot of voxel-style human entrepreneur, turning head over shoulder, brass lantern lifted to face, calm clear expression, rain on jacket, no umbrella.
  • Notes. Casting note: Zara is not a soft maternal figure. She is direct. The lantern flatters her without softening her.

Frame 21 — "You can stay. Or you can go through." [01:58 – 02:08]

  • Composition. Hold on Zara medium for line one. Cut on "I'm going through" to Dzino's face — tight, rain-slick, listening.
  • Action. ZARA: "You can stay. Or you can go through. I'm going through." Three discrete sentences, evenly weighted, no theatre.
  • Lighting & palette. Brass on Zara. Indigo on Dzino. The cut between them is the conversation.
  • Sound cue. Rain. Brass leitmotif under. No score swell on the line — it lands on its own.
  • AI-gen prompt. Two intercut mediums — woman with lantern speaking calmly in rain, voxel character listening from wet grass — neither performance heightened.
  • Notes. Direction: do not have her deliver the line at him. She is naming what she is doing.

Frame 22 — She doesn't wait [02:08 – 02:14]

  • Composition. Wider. Zara from behind, three-quarter. Dzino still seated, frame-left.
  • Action. Zara turns and resumes walking. Lantern bobs forward. She does not look back.
  • Lighting & palette. Brass receding, indigo dominant.
  • Sound cue. Footsteps. Brass leitmotif moving away.
  • AI-gen prompt. Three-quarter rear of woman with brass lantern walking forward into pixel rain, lantern bobbing, voxel character seated in foreground watching her go.
  • Notes. Her not-waiting is the gift, not the line.

Frame 23 — Dzino almost stays [02:14 – 02:22]

  • Composition. Slow push-in to tight on Dzino.
  • Action. Dzino watches her go. He does not move. Hold long. His expression flickers — a half-decision. He looks down again. The almost-stay is 6 seconds of stillness.
  • Lighting & palette. Indigo, rain-slick.
  • Sound cue. Rain. Brass leitmotif faint, distant. Chord still absent.
  • AI-gen prompt. Tight on voxel character's face in rain, watching off-screen figure leave, expression of indecision held long, eyes flicking down.
  • Notes. This is the second terrible beat. Sell that he might genuinely not stand up.

Frame 24 — Stands up [02:22 – 02:28]

  • Composition. Wide. Camera locked low.
  • Action. Dzino plants one paw in the wet grass. Pushes up. Stands. The motion is slow — not dramatic, just deliberate. Reaches down, picks up his small paper bag of Nori's crumbs from where it sat beside him in the grass.
  • Lighting & palette. Indigo. The paper bag has a faint cream warmth — Nori's cloud-café signature.
  • Sound cue. Rain. A single chord-voice returns — Hana's, the first one. Just one voice.
  • AI-gen prompt. Wide shot, voxel character standing up in heavy rain, picking up small cream paper bag from wet grass, deliberate slow motion, no triumph.
  • Notes. Continuity: the crumbs bag was last seen in E04. Visible in his pack between episodes. Pay it off here. The single chord-voice returning is the audience's reward — not a swell, a pinprick.

Scene 12.4 — The lightning frame [02:28 – 03:25]

Frame 25 — Walking together [02:28 – 02:36]

  • Composition. Wide profile. Two-shot tracking. Zara ahead by three steps, Dzino following.
  • Action. They walk. Neither speaks. Neither looks at the other. Same pace.
  • Lighting & palette. Indigo storm with a single brass lantern bobbing ahead. Crown of Dzino visible behind.
  • Sound cue. Rain. Footsteps in sync but not synchronized. Two chord-voices now (Hana + the original).
  • AI-gen prompt. Profile tracking two-shot, woman with brass lantern walking three steps ahead, voxel character following in rain, both moving forward, no dialogue.
  • Notes. The relief of company without the relief of conversation.

Frame 26 — Held silence [02:36 – 02:44]

  • Composition. Same setup, longer focal length. Both figures smaller in frame.
  • Action. They walk. Hold.
  • Lighting & palette. Indigo.
  • Sound cue. Rain. Chord adds a third voice. Then a fourth. The chord is rebuilding voice by voice — but quietly, under the rain.
  • AI-gen prompt. Long lens shot in pixel rain, two figures walking through storm at distance, lantern small bright point ahead.
  • Notes. The chord rebuild from 1 → 11 voices spans Frames 24–28. Audible if you listen, not announced.

Frame 27 — Pre-flash, the air goes still [02:44 – 02:50]

  • Composition. Dzino's face, three-quarter. Background loses sharpness — the rain almost pauses.
  • Action. A half-second hush. The rain's sound drops by 50%. Even Zara's footsteps quiet. Dzino's hairs of crown lift a fraction. The air thickens.
  • Lighting & palette. A faint pre-flash blue-white wash from the upper-left edge of frame.
  • Sound cue. Sharp drop in rain volume. A high-frequency hum builds — pre-lightning ionization.
  • AI-gen prompt. Three-quarter on voxel face, environment going still and quiet just before lightning, faint blue-white edge wash, hair-pixels lifting.
  • Notes. This is the in-breath before the frame. Sound design: pull the rain down, lift the hum.

Frame 28 — THE LIGHTNING FRAME [02:50 – 02:51]

  • Composition. GOD-VIEW. AERIAL. ALL OF PIXOCI. A single hand-painted plate held for one frame (1/24s in the master, ~2-3 frames sustained on screen at slower playback ~125ms for legibility). Square-ish framing within the 9:16 letterbox.
  • Action. The entire realm is illuminated stark white-blue for one beat. Visible from the top down:
    • Pixel Garden (E01) — humming flower fields, lower-left
    • Binary Forest (E02) — trees of 1s and 0s, left
    • Mirror Garden (E03) — glass under twin moons, mid-left
    • Cloud Café (E04) — cumulus stack, upper-left
    • Moon Realm (E05) — low-grav valleys with the still lake, upper-mid
    • Stream of Liquid Gold (E06) — copper river winding, mid
    • Three-Moon Dunes (E07) — crystal sand under three moons, upper-right
    • Silent Grove (E08) — twilight grove, mid-right
    • Twilight Stage (E09) — amphitheatre, lower-right
    • Library (E10) — self-rearranging stacks, lower-mid-right
    • Storm Field (E11) — open plain with two tiny figures and a lantern dot, dead-center
    • Dawn clearing (E00) — bottom edge, the start
    • A trail of cream pixels connects all of them in a single deliberate curve from the dawn clearing to the storm field — the shape of the journey, drawn in his own light.
  • Lighting & palette. Stark lightning-flash white-blue (#E8F0FF highlights, #1E2A4A shadows). The cream-pixel trail glows warmly against the cold flash. Brass lantern is a single warm pinprick at center.
  • Sound cue. Silence. Total. The moment the frame appears, all sound cuts. Rain, footsteps, leitmotif — gone.
  • AI-gen prompt. Hand-painted aerial map of voxel-fantasy realm Pixoci, top-down, all eleven biomes visible: pixel flower garden, binary forest of 1s and 0s, mirror garden under twin moons, cloud café on cumulus, low-gravity moon valleys with still lake, copper river of liquid gold, three-moon crystal dunes, twilight grove, open-air amphitheatre, self-rearranging library, open plain with storm and brass lantern dot, dawn clearing at bottom edge. Cream-pixel trail in single deliberate curve connecting all biomes from dawn clearing to storm. Lightning-flash illumination, stark white-blue palette, warm cream trail and brass lantern as only warm tones. Studio Ghibli × Animal Crossing painting style, voxel detail. Reference plate.
  • Notes. CRITICAL SHOT — THIS IS THE SEASON'S MOST PRODUCTION-DEMANDING IMAGE. Do not generate this. Hand-paint it as a reference plate. It is the season's poster in disguise. Every viewer who pauses on this frame should be able to retrace the journey biome by biome. Test by showing the painting to someone who has watched E00–E10 and asking them to point out each biome unprompted; if they cannot, repaint. Keep all biome silhouettes legible in voxel-style at small scale. The cream trail must read as a single curve, not a scribble.

Frame 29 — Frame is gone [02:51 – 02:53]

  • Composition. Cut back to Dzino's face, three-quarter, where Frame 27 left off.
  • Action. His eyes are wide. He has just seen something. He keeps walking — his legs do not stop. But for one step his pace falters.
  • Lighting & palette. Indigo, rain-slick. The afterimage of the flash bleeds across his eyes for half a second — pale white-blue retinal ghost.
  • Sound cue. Rain returns at half-volume. No thunder yet.
  • AI-gen prompt. Three-quarter of voxel face, eyes wide post-flash, faint white-blue afterimage in pupils, half-stumble in walk, rain returning.
  • Notes. Eye-light continuity: the afterimage detail sells that the lightning frame happened to him, not just to the audience.

Frame 30 — Thunder lands a beat late [02:53 – 02:57]

  • Composition. Wide. Both figures small in frame, walking.
  • Action. Dzino's faltering step ends. He keeps going. THUNDER lands — late, deep, ground-shaking.
  • Lighting & palette. Indigo.
  • Sound cue. Massive thunder crack. Rain returns at full volume on the thunder. Chord at six voices.
  • AI-gen prompt. Wide shot, two figures walking through pixel rain, ground-shaking thunder cue, lantern unflinching ahead.
  • Notes. The image-to-thunder gap is 3 seconds. Out-of-sync on purpose — the lightning was so close the audience should be unsettled by how late the thunder reads.

Frame 31 — He has seen the shape [02:57 – 03:04]

  • Composition. Tight on Dzino's face, walking. Push-in slow.
  • Action. His expression resolves — not joy, not relief. Knowing. He has seen the shape. He keeps walking.
  • Lighting & palette. Indigo, rain-slick.
  • Sound cue. Rain. Chord at eight voices.
  • AI-gen prompt. Tight push-in on voxel character's face walking through rain, expression of new understanding, eyes ahead.
  • Notes. The episode's thesis lands here, silently. No line.

Frame 32 — Far side of the storm [03:04 – 03:11]

  • Composition. Wide profile, tracking. The rain ahead of them visibly thins. A line of cleaner air becomes visible.
  • Action. They keep walking. The rain ahead falls less densely. Three more steps and there is visibly less rain.
  • Lighting & palette. Indigo lightening at the edges. A faint cream wash beginning to push back from the right side of frame.
  • Sound cue. Rain thinning. Chord at nine voices.
  • AI-gen prompt. Profile tracking, two figures walking from heavy rain into thinning rain, edge of storm visible ahead as line of cleaner air.
  • Notes. The transition out of the storm should read as walking through a curtain, not as weather magically lifting.

Frame 33 — Rain stops mid-step [03:11 – 03:15]

  • Composition. Mid-tracking. Camera holds on the boundary line of the storm.
  • Action. They cross the line. Mid-step, the rain stops on Dzino. One frame: water falling. Next frame: not. Behind them, the rain still falls. Ahead, dry.
  • Lighting & palette. Crisp boundary — slate behind, cream-grey ahead.
  • Sound cue. Rain cuts to silence. Footsteps now audible on dry grass. Chord at ten voices.
  • AI-gen prompt. Two figures crossing the visible edge of a storm, rain falling behind them, dry ground ahead, sharp weather boundary, voxel rendering.
  • Notes. The mid-step cut is a hard edit. Do not feather the transition.

Frame 34 — Clouds part [03:15 – 03:21]

  • Composition. Tilt up from their feet to the sky.
  • Action. The slate clouds visibly retract from the center of frame, peeling back like fabric. Cream sky returns.
  • Lighting & palette. Slate retreating, cream #FFE4C9 returning, with one new tone — a brighter cream-white at the star's position.
  • Sound cue. Wind soft. Chord at ten voices.
  • AI-gen prompt. Sky tilt-up, slate clouds parting from center of frame, cream sky returning, voxel-painted clouds peeling back.
  • Notes. The cloud-part should look painted, not rendered. Hand of the artist visible.

Frame 35 — The faint star, full bright [03:21 – 03:28]

  • Composition. Hold on the sky. Star at frame center.
  • Action. The faint star — the calling, the structural promise — is back. And brighter than at any point in the season. It pulses once, twice, in cream-peach. The brightest object in the frame.
  • Lighting & palette. Cream sky. Star is a sharp white-cream pixel with a soft halo. The brightest light source we have seen.
  • Sound cue. Single bowl-chime — the star's leitmotif from E00, but transposed up by a fifth. Stronger.
  • AI-gen prompt. Cream sky, single faint star at center now bright with soft halo, brightest object in frame, peach-cream pulse, voxel-painted clouds at edge.
  • Notes. Production: the star here must be visibly brighter than its E00 incarnation. Compare A/B against the E00 star at color-grade.

Frame 36 — Raindrop becomes shard [03:28 – 03:35]

  • Composition. Macro close-up. A single raindrop, the last of the storm, suspended mid-air in front of Dzino's chest.
  • Action. The drop hovers. Pauses. Reshapes into a small voxel-bound notebook — leather-cream cover, the size of a thumbnail, with a dog-eared corner. The Journal shard. It floats forward and clicks into Dzino's chest with the others.
  • Lighting & palette. Cream-warm drop, becoming cream-warm shard. Indigo of his body around it.
  • Sound cue. Pen-on-paper — a soft, slow scratching. Voice 11 arrives. The chord is now eleven voices. Cleanest, fullest chord of the season.
  • AI-gen prompt. Macro voxel close-up of single raindrop suspended mid-air in front of indigo character's chest, transforming into miniature leather-cream notebook with dog-eared corner, clicking into chest, soft pen-on-paper sound.
  • Notes. The Journal shard should look worn — already pre-aged, as if the writing has already been begun. This is a record-of-having-gone-through, not a fresh notebook.

Scene 12.5 — Zara turns back [03:35 – 04:00]

Frame 37 — Zara stops, lantern down [03:35 – 03:40]

  • Composition. Medium on Zara. She has stopped a few steps ahead.
  • Action. She lowers the lantern. Looks at it. Reaches up and pinches the wick out with two fingers — she doesn't blow it. The brass dims to dull metal.
  • Lighting & palette. The frame loses its only artificial warm light. Cream sky takes over from above.
  • Sound cue. A small tin click as the lantern dies. Wind soft. Chord sustaining.
  • AI-gen prompt. Medium of woman entrepreneur in voxel-style, lowering brass lantern, pinching wick out with fingers, lantern going dull metal, cream sky behind.
  • Notes. The pinch-not-blow detail matters. She is direct. She does not waste breath.

Frame 38 — "Write it down." [03:40 – 03:50]

  • Composition. Two-shot. Zara faces Dzino. He stands in front of her. They are roughly equal in frame for the first time.
  • Action. ZARA: "Write it down. Even the parts you'd rather forget." She does not smile. She does not frown. She names a thing.
  • Lighting & palette. Cream sky. Wet ground. Both figures lit evenly.
  • Sound cue. Her line lands clean. Chord at eleven voices, low.
  • AI-gen prompt. Two-shot voxel character and woman entrepreneur facing each other on wet grass, cream sky, calm exchange, no lantern, no rain.
  • Notes. Direction: her line is practical, not philosophical. She is telling him how the shard works.

Frame 39 — She turns back into the storm [03:50 – 03:55]

  • Composition. Wide. Zara's back. The storm — still dissipating — is behind her, in the direction Dzino came from.
  • Action. She turns and walks back into the dissolving rain. Looking, we understand without being told, for the next traveler.
  • Lighting & palette. Cream foreground, slate-thinning background. Her silhouette small against the last of the storm.
  • Sound cue. Footsteps on wet grass. Brass leitmotif fades into wind.
  • AI-gen prompt. Wide shot from behind, woman with extinguished lantern walking back into dissipating pixel storm, voxel character watching her go, cream foreground, slate background.
  • Notes. Her direction is the opposite of every other mentor's. They stayed put in their biomes. She walks back to the hard place. Read this as: she is the founder who returns to the dark to find others.

Frame 40 — Silhouette swallowed by cloud [03:55 – 03:58]

  • Composition. Long lens, very long. Zara is now a small dot. The storm closes around her.
  • Action. Her silhouette goes pixel-small. The last of the cloud takes her. She is gone.
  • Lighting & palette. Slate dissolving to indigo at the edge.
  • Sound cue. Wind. Chord at eleven voices.
  • AI-gen prompt. Long-lens shot, distant tiny silhouette of human figure being swallowed by dissipating pixel storm, voxel-style, lonely composition.
  • Notes. Hold a half-second longer than feels necessary. She is gone.

Frame 41 — Dzino walks on [03:58 – 04:00]

  • Composition. Wide tracking, Dzino in profile, walking forward toward the now-bright star. Camera follows.
  • Action. He walks. Wet, tired, lighter. The cream-pixel trail behind him resumes — and is the brightest it has been all season.
  • Lighting & palette. Cream sky, indigo body, brighter cream pixels in his trail than ever before.
  • Sound cue. Eleven-voice chord, full and clean. Wind. The brass leitmotif fades into the chord and is absorbed — Zara is now part of the song.
  • AI-gen prompt. Wide tracking profile, voxel character walking forward across wet plain toward bright star, cream sky, fresh cream-pixel trail behind brighter than before, lighter posture despite damp, no triumph just continuance.
  • Notes. Posture continuity: he walks the same way he walked at the start of the episode — same pace, same gait — but his body reads lighter. Animation note: lift his step-cycle by 1 voxel without speeding it.

Frame 42 — Final hold and outro [04:00]

  • Composition. Pull camera up and back. Dzino small, frame-bottom. Sky and star fill the rest.
  • Action. Hold. He walks out of frame on the right. The star pulses once. Episode ends.
  • Lighting & palette. Cream sky. Star. Indigo dot of him.
  • Sound cue. Chord sustains, fades to wind. One final pen-on-paper scratch — soft.
  • AI-gen prompt. Pull-up wide hero, tiny voxel character walking out of bottom-right of frame across plain, large bright star pulsing in cream sky, voxel-painted clouds.
  • Notes. The final pen-on-paper scratch is the show's quiet reminder: the journal is being kept. Roll credits or cut to next episode card.

Style anchors needed (REQUIRED before generation)

  1. HAND-PAINTED AERIAL MAP REFERENCE PLATE — REQUIRED. A single hand-painted plate of all of Pixoci from above, biomes labeled and connected by the cream-pixel trail. This plate is non-negotiable. It is the season's most production-demanding image and the frame most likely to fail under pure AI generation. Commission, paint, scan. Use as the master plate for Frame 28. Treat as the season's poster.
  2. Storm Field plate. Open plain at the moment Dzino sits — voxel grass, slate sky, no horizon. Reference for Frames 12–15.
  3. Zara character sheet. Cropped jacket (color: warm rust or olive, decisive against the indigo wash), no hood, no umbrella, brass lantern in right hand, voxel-stylized human (so she reads distinct from the animal-Souli mentors but consistent with the show's voxel logic). Three poses: walking-late, turning-with-lantern, lantern-extinguished.
  4. Brass lantern hero asset. Voxel-faceted, period-vague, warm #C89B4C glow, swing rig for animation. Light source for ~80% of the scenes she appears in.
  5. Pixel-rain sheet. Voxel droplets in three densities (sparse / heavy / wall), with splash voxels on impact. Audible rain — sound design must develop a granular pixel-rain texture distinct from any prior weather in the season.
  6. Wet-Dzino variant. Indigo body desaturated by ~10%, cream face rain-slick with a single tracking droplet, crown orange dimmed by ~15%. Reference for all in-storm frames.
  7. Cream-pixel trail (post-storm variant). Brighter than the standard E00–E10 trail. The brightening is the visual reward of the episode and must be discernible.
  8. Calling-star (full-bright variant). Visibly brighter than the E00 reference. A/B against E00 plate at color-grade.
  9. Journal shard hero asset. Miniature leather-cream notebook, dog-eared, voxel-bound, pre-aged. Click-into-chest animation rig.
